Our programme is based on the National Quality Standard that incorporates the Early Years Learning Framework. It is enhanced constantly to ensure we are catering for and including topics and special news that are of current interest to the children and relates to their level of development. Our programme is flexible and emergent.
Each child will have progress records maintained for the purpose of programming and development. Parents are encouraged to access this information via a special web-based programme. These records, along with the children's current interests and competencies, form the basis of our daily programme. All children will experience learning that is engaging, and this is a foundation that builds success in life.
Fundamental to the Early Years Learning Framework is a view of children's lives as characterised by Belonging, Being, & Becoming which becomes apparent through the five learning outcomes within EYLF.
- CHILDREN HAVE A STRONG SENSE OF IDENTITY
- CHILDREN ARE CONNECTED WITH, & CONTRIBUTE TO, THEIR WORLD
- CHILDREN HAVE A STRONG SENSE OF WELLBEING
- CHILDREN ARE CONFIDENT & INVOLVED LEARNERS CHILDREN ARE EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATORS
Come into our rooms where you can see our Daily Journal and the Weekly Programme outline. Look around the walls at displays of Learning Stories of how your child has engaged in specific activities which have evolved through their immediate interest, and have been extended by the Educators, through the provision of stimulating experiences.
Within our programme, we incorporate Christian values, and have a special 'values' group time during of each day to further develop positive relationships with God and with others -- sharing, showing sensitivity toward others, compassion, kindness, friendship and acceptance.
